  • SEDUCTION BY SHAKESPEARE: Advice, Observations and Quotes on Love, Lust, Beauty & Desire  -  PUBLISHER'S WEEKLY BOOK REVIEW  -  Tongue-tied lovers and those who simply wish they could express themselves more poetically will find this pocket-sized collection of Shakespearean quotes hilarious and potentially useful. The largest section, Seduction by Scenario, offers situational advice such as what to say if asked, "How do I look?" ("Beauty itself doth of itself persuade/ The eyes of men without an orator") and how to say you like bondage ("All strange and terrible events are welcome/But comforts we despise"). The contrast between the pedestrian nature of the situations and Shakespeare's flowery language is both amusing and absurd, but even the Bard himself would be pleased to see his words of love offered up with such tongue-in-cheek wit.
